Bring On the Brisket! Plans For KY’s Third Buc-ee’s Underway
The more beaver the better, I always say! We are headed to Florida in October, and one of the things I am most looking forward to is the obligatory Buc-ee's stop we'll make on the way. And probably on the way back too if we're being honest.
Of course, if we get desperate for some good snacks, we could just jump in the car and head to Smith's Grove just a little over an hour away. It is the smallest town to host a Buc-ee's and is right here in Western Kentucky. It was also the second one to pop up in the Bluegrass state with the first being in Richmond, KY.
A third Buc-ee's will break ground in Christian County in 2025. While a projected opening date was not announced, the Oak Grove City Council approved the plans as the beaver's team secures the land. That deal will be finalized in September near Interstate 24 just off Highway 115 at Exit 89. Just north of the Tennessee border, the convenience store will be close to Fort Campbell Army base and Clarksville.
I call it a convenience store, but if you've ever been to one, you know it's much more than that! You can get anything you could need on a road trip and more. From deliciously fresh hot food to baked goods, to clothes, accessories, home decor, and beach gear. Not to mention the cleanest bathrooms you've ever used. You never have to wait for a stall. There are so many gas pumps, that I've never had to wait for a pump either.
