The Savannah Bananas Are Coming To Illinois

Growing up I was a big fan of baseball. I think it was for a couple of reasons. One, I played Little League and with my friends after school a lot. Also, I would come home after class and there weren't many choices of shows to watch on TV back in those days. Most of the time, my pick was the Chicago Cubs.

As time went on, there were a lot more choices on TV and for entertainment. Baseball can get really boring at times and the games would take forever. The sport didn't excite me anymore so I moved on to other things.

A big change came to baseball a few years ago. The Savannah Bananas were started with their brand of what they describe as Banana Ball. I would compare it to the Harlem Globetrotters. It's a fast-moving game that is based on entertainment and not really the sport itself. They do a bunch of fun and goofy promotions.

With their new brand of entertaining baseball, the Savannah Bananas became a worldwide phenomenon. Fans would travel from all over to witness one of their games live and in person. They became so famous, that the team decided to take the show on the road. The ball club now sells out Major League stadiums across the country.

For the very first time ever, the Savannah Bananas are coming to Illinois. They will play at Guaranteed Rate Field on August 15th and 16th. Don't sleep on those tickets because the games will sell out.
