I've been in Illinois my whole life and it hasn't always been the best place to live. There has been terrible corruption by government officials abusing their power and wasting taxpayers' money. Plus, our state has been in horrible financial shape for a long time.

In the last couple of years, I feel like Illinois has been starting to trend in the right direction, especially in cities like Rockford. Our state isn't perfect but I believe it's no longer the worst one. It might end up being a good place to live.
For a long time, there was a mass exodus out of Illinois. Residents were leaving the state by the thousands. I don't blame them at all considering how bad it did get. It didn't seem like there was any chance for the place to get any better anytime soon.
Now that things have started to turn around, not everyone is heading for the door. In fact, residents from other states are starting to move here. I know it's hard to believe but it's actually happening. Where are they coming from?
