Egg-ceptionally Surprising Travel News From TSA

There are a lot of items that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has banned airport travelers from flying with. Some items, like lithium-ion battery packs used to charge cell phones, can only be packed in your carry-on bag and not your checked bag.

Likewise, you cannot carry "inert mortar rounds" in your luggage either - one passenger traveling through Evansville Regional Airport learned that the hard way a few years back, but what about eggs?

Flying From Indiana? Don’t Be Afraid to Pack Eggs

Admittedly, I have never needed to fly with fresh eggs, but I came across a post from the TSA on social media that caught my attention. I had no idea that it was perfectly acceptable to fly with fresh eggs - both in your carry-on and your checked luggage!

Again, I cannot fathom a reason that a person would need to fly with fresh eggs, but if you do, TSA says it's Egg-Ok to pack them - cooked or uncooked.

What About Liquid Eggs or Egg Whites?

Now, travel safety experts at the TSA did get very specific when it comes to egg whites or liquid eggs. They don't yolk around when it comes to the amount of liquids you can bring onboard, so you still have to abide by the 3.4 ounce carry-on rules.
