Indiana Department Of Natural Resources Launches Contest For Wildlife Artists
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is looking for artists for its Fish and Wildlife Art and Photo Contest!
New License Cards are Coming from Indiana DNR
Beginning in early 2025, you will have the option to purchase your Indiana hunting, fishing, trapping or combination license as a durable card. DNR says these will hold up better to outdoor conditions.
New License Cards Will Include Hoosier Artwork
In celebration of the new license cards, Indiana DNR wants to include nature and wildlife themed art from Hoosier artists on the cards. That's where the Art and Photo Contest comes in!
Four Artists' Work Will Be Chosen
The work of four artists will be selected from the contest and those works will be featured as the background of these new license cards. In addition to be featured on the cards, the four winners will each receive an e-gift certificate as well.
Art and Photo Contest Rules and Guidelines
Indiana DNR says the contest is open to all 2-D art mediums - with the exception of AI generated works. So whether your chosen medium is photography, graphic design, painting or drawing, you can enter your work featuring wildlife, outdoor recreation, or landscapes found in the Hoosier State.
What to Include in Your Entry
Be sure to include the artist's name, phone number, and address, along with the month and year the artwork was created and the location or species of the subject. For those who are under 18, you must also include the age and name of your parent or legal guardian.
Additional Details and Deadline Information
Additional rules and guidelines, as well as how to submit your entry can be found by visiting the Indiana DNR at In.Gov. The deadline for submissions for the contest is Friday, August 2 before 11:50 p.m. ET.
