Burdette Park Extends Its Summer Season for 2026

Burdette Park is already a beloved summer staple in Evansville, and for 2026, guests are getting even more time to enjoy it. Park officials have announced that the Aquatic Center season will be extended to 79 days, running May 23 through August 9, 2026.

Record 2025 Attendance Led to the Longer Season

The decision comes after the 2025 season brought record-breaking crowds. More than 77,000 guests visited the Aquatic Center over a 72-day period. The impressive turnout highlighted the need for more availability and additional staffing support.

Increased Staffing Makes the Extension Possible

According to the park, the extended 2026 season is the result of dedicated recruitment efforts and increased staffing, which will allow Burdette to safely and consistently operate the facility.

Passholders Get Exclusive Swim Under the Lights

As a bonus for passholders, Burdette Park will once again host its exclusive “Swim Under the Lights” event. This after-hours evening swim will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, and is open only to those with season passes.

Burdette Park first opened in 1936, and remains a community favorite thanks to its large Aquatic Center, rentable shelters, cabins, athletic courts, trails, and other amenities.

Early Season Pass Discounts Return for the Holidays

For anyone thinking ahead to summer fun, 2026 Season Passes will be available at a discounted Christmas rate from Monday, December 8, through Tuesday, December 23, 2025.
