Holidays may be done for now but the warm fuzzy moments aren't.

When you're a kid, waiting for presents during Christmas can feel like it takes forever. You want to shake and open the gifts under the tree or see what Santa has brought you. But one guy in Illinois had to wait 46 years.

Tim King, owner of TKING Construction Services in Lombard, was doing a small remodel on the bathroom in his parents' house when he found a surprise. He was checking to make sure there wasn't anything behind the wall before they closed up the drywall, he told WGN.

Sure enough, there was.

A 46-year-old Christmas gift with Tim's name on it.

King thinks that the gift might have fallen down into the wall as his parents used to hide Christmas gifts in the attic.

Originally built by his great-grandparents as a summer getaway from Chicago, the house has been in King's family for 3 generations and there were a few updates to it and at least 2 additions over the years. Once King found the gift, he waited for his mom to get home so he could open it with her. But he said she didn't remember buying it.

It was a set of Matchbox Thunder Jets.

King thinks the gift was bought around Christmas 1978, when King would have been 6.

He thinks it would have been a great gift. He documented the discovery and unwrapping of the slightly late Christmas present on his company's Instagram page.
