WKDQ Fall Festival Booth Takeover Schedule
Here's when you can catch us out at the Fall Festival taking over select booths.
The 103rd West Sid Nut Club Fall Festival returns to Franklin Street from October 7th through 12th. This is a weeklong event that has taken place on Franklin Street on the City's west side during the first full week of October every year since 1921. It's organized by the West Side Nut Club, a non-profit group that distributes the proceeds from the festival and other fundraising events it hosts during the year to local schools and other non-profits, as well as using it to fund community projects it creates.
For those of us who live here, like myself, at least one trip to the festival during the week is a requirement. Why? Because of the food! Over 100 local non-profits are lined along Franklin Street serving up some delicious and unique foods that you can only get your hands on once a year during the Fall Festival. On top of the food booths, there are also rides and games for the whole family to enjoy!
WKDQ Fall Festival Booth Takeover
Speaking of the food booths, this year, we here at WKDQ want to do something very special for the nonprofits out there on Franklin Street. Every weekday during lunch, we will be heading down to the Fall Festival to volunteer at your booth and give your booth some love on the air with a one-hour broadcast. During that hour long broadcast, we will help out in your booth however you need and will broadcast live on air, promoting what your nonprofit does in the community, and of course the delicious food you're serving up at the Fall Festival.
So, where and when will we be showing up during the Fall Festival? Check out the schedule below:

Stop by and say hi while you are out there at the Fall Festival. Oh, and if you find that you have some free time on your hands during the week, ask about volunteering opportunities at any of the nonprofit booths out there. I'm sure there are many who could use the help throughout the Fall Festival.
