Rev Up Your Curiosity at Indiana’s International Monster Truck Museum
Did you know that there is an International Monster Truck Museum? It's true and it's right here in the Hoosier State!
Monster Truck Obsessed
When I was a kid my dad would take my brother and me to see monster trucks, and I remember always finding them fascinating. As I grew up I got out of going to see them and forgot how cool they were, that's until I had a little boy who is monster truck obsessed.
My son is 3, and last year we took him to see a monster truck show for the first time, and let me tell you, it flipped a switch inside of him. That kid became monster truck obsessed. We even had a monster truck-themed 3rd birthday party.
Now when you're a parent and your kid is into something, you also become into that something, because you don't have a choice. I can tell you all about different monster trucks and what circuit they're on, and that is information I never thought I'd have to know, but now I do! He loves watching YouTube videos of monster trucks, and he lost his mind when we went to Summer Smash at the 4H center this year. There's no better feeling in the world, than watching your kid do something they love.
It's funny how you become a bit of an expert when your kid is into something, but there's truly nothing better than seeing your kid experience something they love. And for my Riley, that's monster trucks. So when my friend Travis texted me to tell me there was a monster truck museum in Indiana I had to know everything, because I'm going to have to plan a visit with my kiddo!
Indiana's International Monster Truck Museum.
I didn't know we had a museum in the Hoosier State dedicated to everything monster truck-related. The International Monster Truck Museum Hall of Fame is located in Butler, Indiana. They even have 10 monster trucks on display.
The International Monster Truck Museum & Hall of Fame is located in Butler, Indiana. The IMTM is a monster truck museum that currently features a rotating schedule of over 10 classic monster trucks on display and additional historical displays featuring memorabilia, fiberglass, trophies, photographs, videos and historical posters.

On top of seeing the trucks up close, they also have historical displays featuring memorabilia. They say you can get a close-up look at old-school monster trucks and innovative trucks from the industry. They have a rotating display of trucks, so be sure to check on their Facebook page and website to see who is on display when you visit!
Not only do they have plenty to check out on display all year, they also host huge events throughout the year that are a dream for any gearhead! Like their toy and memorabilia show coming up in February and you can't forget about their Carnage in the Collesium monster truck show in March.
Butler, Indiana is a bit of a haul from the Tri-State as it's up north of Fort Wayne, but I can tell you it would be so worth it for a weekend trip to take my kiddo up there for a fun-filled day of his favorite trucks!
