Fast food spots are a dime a dozen in Indiana, but there is only one that has earned the title of the "best" fast-food restaurant in the state...and it isn't a major chain.

Indiana has a lot of great restaurants that have been open for years. These restaurants have become staples in that area, and people must go whenever they are in town. They are restaurants that can even become bucket-list places to dine at. Whether it be comfort food, burgers, fried chicken, seafood, Italian, Mexican, steakhouses, or any other type of restaurant, there are certain places that stand out among the rest. Then you have your go-to fast food restaurants. As you know, there are so many to choose from here in Indiana. Burgers, tacos, pizza, and other sandwiches at these fast food chains in the state are the perfect meal when you're in a rush.

Sure, you can always go to the drive-thru of any major fast food chain, but if you want to find really good fast food, you need to look into the local fast food joints. I've found that some of the best burgers can be found at those hole-in-the-wall places. While they might not stand out as much as the major chains, these local fast-food restaurants are hidden gems throughout Indiana. That being said, which one has been dubbed the best in the state? Let's find out!

Local Indiana Spot Crowned 'Best Fast-Food Restaurant' in the Entire State

According to a list compiled by LoveFood, the best fast-food restaurant in Indiana isn't a restaurant at all. In fact, it's actually a food cart. Garcia's Hot Dogs in Indianapolis has been named the best fast food joint in all of Indiana.

Here's what LoveFood had to say:

Fast food doesn’t get much better than the sensational hot dogs served up at this much-loved cart, located at 16th and Emerson in Indianapolis. These one-of-a-kind wieners are steamed to perfection and served Chicago-style with all the classic fixings: yellow mustard, sweet relish, freshly chopped onions, sliced tomatoes, and pickles. Fans also love the Garcia Ruben Dog, which comes topped with Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Thousand Island dressing. A full meal with chips and a drink typically costs under $10, too.

Great food and service don't get any better than this! I'm not going to lie, just looking at Garcia's menu and seeing the food, I really want to make a road trip to Indianapolis to see if it's as good as it sounds. You can learn all about Garcia's Hot Dogs by clicking here.
