If you haven't had the chance to visit Awesome Lazy River in Kentucky this summer, you have one final chance to soak in the sun on the Salt River.

Summer is winding down. That means that a lot of our favorite summertime attractions have either already closed or only have a few weeks left in the season. That happens to be the case with Awesome Lazy River.

Awesome Lazy River

This lazy river adventure is located in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, which is right outside of Louisville. As the name implies, it is an awesome lazy river. While there, you will be able to can spend the day floating along the Salt River in an inner tube, soaking in the sun, and sipping on a nice cold (nonalcoholic) beverage. It's the definition of a relaxing vacation!

The average trip down the river is about 2 hours. Awesome Lazy River rents out single, double, and typhoon floats. They also have floats for your coolers so that you can bring drinks and snacks along for the float. If you wanted to, you can even bring your own float too.

Awesome Lazy River's Last Weekend of the 2023 Season

If Awesome Lazy River sounds like a good time for you, time is running out for you to make the trip to Shepardsville to float the day away. Labor Day Weekend is the last weekend of the 2023 season for Awesome Lazy River. They will be open on September 2nd and 3rd (closed on Labor Day). After that, you'll have to wait until 2024 to visit. It looks like the weather will be pretty nice this weekend too, so if you don't have Labor Day Weekend plans, this might be something really cool to do with the family or a group of friends.
