Some of the scariest things in America aren’t ghosts and ghouls, and that's certainly the case with what was named the most terrifying destination in Kentucky.

Kentucky is full of fun attractions. Whether it be museums, theme parks, sports venues, historical locations, or being out on a beautiful lake, Kentucky has a lot to offer residents and guests alike. We all have our favorite attractions to visit in the state. Some of these attractions can be downright terrifying, however.

When I say "terrifying," I'm not just talking about creepy or haunted places. No, I'm talking about destinations that will test your bravery in a variety of ways. Destinations that are sure to rattle the nerves of even the bravest thrill-seeker. That's exactly what LoveExploring found in a recent article. The publication revealed the most terrifying destination in each state. When it comes to Kentucky's it's one that adrenaline junkies will absolutely love. Those terrified of heights...not so much.

The Most Terrifying Destination in Kentucky

According to LoveExploring, the most terrifying destination in Kentucky can be found in Louisville. Actually, it can be found under Louisville. Louisville Mega Cavern is one of the largest caverns in the United States. Hence why it's called the "Mega" Cavern. If you've never been there before, there's so much more to it than just walking through a giant cave. One of the most popular attractions there is the world's only fully underground Zip Lines & Adventure Tour, known as MEGA ZIPLINES. That attraction has been crowned the most terrifying destination in Kentucky, and here's what LoveExploring said:

There are subterranean thrills aplenty at this unique zip-line attraction in Louisville. There are six lines in total and visitors are fed nuggets of geology wisdom by enthusiastic guides as they speed across the limestone cavern. The cave includes more than 17 miles of passageways, and a zip line course exploring it can take up to two-and-a-half hours.

Not only will you find MEGA ZIPLINES at Louisville Underground, but you will also discover the world’s only fully underground aerial ropes challenge course (MEGA QUEST), a 10-stories-underground Historic Tram Tour (MEGA TRAM), the largest indoor bike park in the world (MEGA BIKE PARK), a guided e-bike tour (MEGA E-BIKES), and of course, Lights Under Louisville, the world's only fully underground holiday light show.

This looks really awesome, I'm not going to lie. If you want to learn more and book your adventure, you can do so by clicking here. For more fun on Louisville Mega Cavern, check out the photos below.
