Kentucky Restaurant Named ‘Best Steakhouse’ in the State
The next time you want a good steak in Kentucky, maybe try out the best steakhouse in the entire state.
Kentucky has no shortage of great restaurants that have been open for years. These restaurants have become staples in that area where people must go whenever they are in town. They are restaurants that can even become bucket-list places to dine at. Whether it be comfort food, burgers, fried chicken, seafood, Italian, Mexican, steakhouses, or any other type of restaurant, there are certain places that stand out among the rest. Out of all of the possibilities, it can be somewhat difficult to decide where you want to go to eat. Personally, I would never turn down a good steak. According to a survey in this Fox News story, I'm not alone. The survey says that steak is America's favorite meal, and steak is also what nearly 66 percent of Americans say they would have as their LAST meal too.
So, if you love steak as much as the average American, you have probably dined at a steakhouse here in Kentucky multiple times. We all have our go-to steakhouses, but have you ever been to the best steakhouse in the Bluegrass State? I know that is a pretty subjective topic, but one website recently claims to have found the best steakhouse in Kentucky. Let's see what you think.
This is the Best Steakhouse in Kentucky
This new ranking of steakhouses across America comes from 24/7 Tempo on MSN. To compile a list of the best steakhouse in every state, 24/7 Tempo consulted reviews and ratings published by scores of city, regional, and state websites, extrapolating a shortlist of the most acclaimed establishments, and then they used editorial discretion to make their final choices. When it comes to Kentucky's best steakhouse, it may not be what you'd expect.
The best steakhouse in Kentucky can be found in Georgetown. Rodney's on Broadway took home that honor for Kentucky. According to Rodney's on Broadway's website, Chef Rodney Jones opened Rodney’s on Broadway on January 31, 2011, in historic downtown Georgetown, Kentucky. Chef Rodney has over 30 years of experience, as he has served up dishes in the Lexington area from places as diverse as private fine-dining clubs to a Jamaican restaurant, and everything in between. His recipes have been featured in cookbooks, magazines, and newspapers. Say no more. This guy knows what he's talking about when it comes to food and more importantly, steak.
According to 24/7 Tempo on MSN:
There's a subtle elegance to the look at chef Rodney Jones's restaurant, which occupies an old brick mansion, and the food is old-school but beautifully prepared and served. This is the place for familiar dishes like iceberg wedge salad, baked artichoke dip, grilled Maine lobster tail, and above all USDA prime steaks, including a 20-ounce bone-in ribeye.
I have to admit, after watching those videos and checking out Rodney's menu, this place sounds delicious. However, is it delicious enough to be the best steakhouse in all of Kentucky? What do you think?
