You will see a lot of strange sights throughout the Bluegrass State, but this might be the strangest (and creepiest) of them all.

Kentucky is full of fun attractions. Whether it be museums, theme parks, sports venues, historical locations, or being out on a beautiful lake, Kentucky has a lot to offer residents and guests alike. We all have our favorite attractions to visit in the state. Then, there are some things that you'll find in Kentucky that are just downright odd. Case in point, what we are about to discuss.

The travel website, Love Exploring recently found the strangest sight in each state. We are talking about things like offbeat museums, historic curiosities, surreal superstructures, mind-bending art experiences, and plenty of roadside kitsch. So what is the strangest sight in Kentucky? Let's find out.

This is the Strangest Sight in Kentucky

According to Love Exploring, the strangest sight in Kentucky can be found in Fort Mitchell. It's called the Vent Haven Museum and it is packed full of over 1,000 ventriloquism dummies. Now, look, this isn't just strange, but if you are like me and were terrified of Slappy the Dummy from Goosebumps and the movie Dead Silence creeping you out, this place is more like a nightmare.

Love Exploring had this to say about the Vent Haven Museum:

Creepy doesn’t begin to cover the sights inside the Vent Haven Museum, an oddball museum in Fort Mitchell. Devoted to the entertainment art form of ventriloquism, the museum began in 1973 when W S Berger first shared his niche collection with the public. Today, the Vent Haven has more than 1,100 dummies that have starred in stage shows from the 19th to the 21st centuries. One of them dates back to the Civil War. The fascinating and frequently changing collection also includes puppets, playbills, posters, recordings and photographs. This year there’s a special Punch and Judy exhibit. Tours are available by appointment only, so be sure to book ahead.

Have you ever been to the Vent Haven Museum? Is it worth the visit? Furthermore, do you think it is actually the strangest sight in Kentucky? You can see the strangest sight in each state by clicking here.

Guntown Mountain in Cave City, Kentucky -- Inside and Out

Once a thriving tourist attraction, Guntown Mountain has been closed for many years, even though the haunted attraction at the BOTTOM is still operable. The owners are willing to sell the top and bottom separately, which I think is a good idea.
