I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I don't know what it is about food that comes off of a truck, but holy moly do we have some delicious food trucks around here! One popular local food truck is Bodine's Newsstand, it's a newer restaurant on wheels, but their popularity has skyrocketed in the short time they've been rolling through Evansville.
Bodine's Newsstand
Bodine's Newstand is a food truck that started a couple of years ago, and you'll be hard pressed to find them at a location and not have a line in front of the truck. They are known for serving delicious food, and have extremely popular fish and chips.
My husband is a paramedic and one day at work he came across Bodine's Newsstand, so he got the fish and chips, and now he makes sure to check where their Facebook to find out where they are regularly. I had never had it until a few weeks ago, and I didn't get the fish and chips, but I got the BBQ Chicken Salad and it was so good I posted this to Facebook (if you're a fan of The Office, you'll get this quote):
Pam Beesly may have felt god in this Chilis, but I’m pretty sure I felt him at Bodine’s Newsstand because holy moly that food is next level.
I still stand by that statement. If you're a fan of Bodine's Newsstand, or just good food in general, you'll be pleased to know they are getting a permanent storefront!

Bodine's Newsstand took to Facebook to share the exciting news that they are getting a permanent location inside of Main Street Food and Beverage Hall.
Making moves yo!!!It is with intense pride, excitement, trepidation, anxiety, hope, and commitment to myself and my family that I am able to announce that Bodine’s Newsstand will have a permanent storefront!We just signed a lease with the good folks at Main Street Food & Beverage in Downtown Evansville Indiana to take over a vendor spot a their food and beverage hall and will be bringing our delicious Fish and Chips
What Does This Mean for the Bodine's Newsstand Food Truck?
The food truck is and always will be our primary “vehicle of success” and out partnerships are going to remain active and integral to our business plans but having the ability to streamline hours of operation and the logistics of supplying the food truck through a dedicated kitchen space is going to be a game changer for us!
To think…just under 2 years ago I launched this business with a little old concession trailer and am now moving to a 2nd location is just more than I could have imagined!
