Leaving a review online is a great way to help support local businesses, as it helps to give them more credibility online.  Now, I am someone who rarely leaves reviews for places online because I never think about it (I'm trying to do better, though!).  However, I am very thankful for people who do leave online reviews, because I often check reviews for places before I visit them for the first time (especially when I'm out of town), and I always look at reviews before purchasing a product online.

However, I rarely look at reviews for places locally, because I know what's around Evansville, and I usually have a pretty good idea of what is good or at least what I find to be good.  Today I was wondering what places in Evansville had the best reviews online for Mexican cuisine, and I was not surprised at all with the best reviewed Mexican restaurant in Evansville.

I decided to see who was serving the best Mexican food in Evansville, and it came as no surprise to me that the highest-rated Mexican restaurant in town is none other than La Campirana.

If you've never had La Campirana, my friend, you are missing out! La Campirana serves authentic Mexican cuisine, and it's one of my favorite places to eat.  The burrito and elote are next level, along with their fresh agua frescas.  To. Die. For. I'm also not saying this just for flattery in this article; I posted this to my Instagram 5 years ago:

But don't just take my word for it, Yelp agrees.  When I sorted the Yelp search by highest rated, La Campirana is the highest rated Mexican restaurant with more than 160 reviews and 4.7 stars! That's a nearly 5 out of 5-star experience!
