See Hundreds of Azaleas in Bloom Right Now At Southern Indiana’s Azalea Path
Right now is peak time to see the stunning sight of hundreds of azaleas in bloom, and you don't have to drive too far from Evansville!
Southern Indiana In Bloom
Spring may have officially started in March, but in my opinion, the true mark of spring being here is when flowers start to bloom. There is nothing prettier than seeing an area with tons of colorful flowers in bloom. While you can see flowers in bloom just about anywhere in the Tri-State, one place stands out because it is truly a spectacular sight, the Azalea Path Botanical Garden and Arboretum.
The Azalea Path Botanical Garden and Arboretum
The Azalea Path Botanical Garden and Arboretum (we're going to shorten it to just Azalea Path for the purpose of this article) is located in Hazelton, Indiana, which is in Pike County. It's about a 45-50 minute drive from Evansville, so it's not too far at all!
The Azalea Path is home to one of the largest varieties of azaleas in the Midwest, and according to Go Gibson, they have more than 300 varieties of azaleas spread over 50 acres. As you wind through the Azalea Path, you'll enjoy beautifully landscaped settings and plenty of gorgeous photo ops.
What's really unique is the Azalea Path is a private home, and they open their property to the public once a year to share the beautiful blooms with people from all over. So please remember that when going and be respectful.
Private home and garden of Steve and Beverly Knight. Located in Gibson and Pike County, Azalea Path is a hidden garden featuring one of the largest varieties of azaleas in the midwest. Closed 6/1-4/1.
