Misbranding Leads to Recall of Int’l Delight Creamer in Illinois
Which States are Affected?
This recall affects several states, including Illinois, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, New Mexico, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin.
The issue?
The product, labeled as "zero sugar," actually contains sugar, a critical labeling error for those managing sugar intake due to specific health conditions.
The recalled bottles are the 32oz plastic containers of "Home Alone" International Delight Peppermint Mocha Zero Sugar creamer, with a best-by date of February 25, 2025. Though Danone U.S. hasn’t disclosed the number of bottles affected, they advise consumers to check their labels and return any impacted products to the store for a refund.
Food Safety News has also urged retailers to pull the product from shelves immediately.
