F1 Arcade Opening 30 More US Places and Illinois Could Be Next
Formula 1 racing continues to expand its global reach and appears to be targeting one of the only countries that hasn't really embraced it yet and that's America. The F1 Arcade is a combination champagne bar, restaurant and simulator center and there's already one United States location and a report says 30 more are to come and there's good reason to believe Illinois could be next.
I saw this intriguing report from Nation's Restaurant News that says F1 Arcade Entertainment is about to invade 30 more United States cities over the next few years. This is the center that's already open in Boston, Massachusetts.
The next locations will be "Washington, D.C., this fall, and at Caesars Palace Las Vegas in 2025" according to the Nation's Restaurant News report. There is good reason to believe that Chicago, Illinois will follow shortly thereafter.
Why is Chicago, Illinois a logical landing place for F1 Arcade?
The racing culture in Chicago has been on the rise with NASCAR choosing the streets of the Windy City for races starting last year. Sports Illustrated reported earlier this year that F1 is in the planning stages for a Chicago Grand Prix sometime in the future.
I'd be shocked if Chicago is not announced as one of the next F1 Arcade destinations. It seems like too natural a fit for one of the fastest-growing international sports with America's third largest metro.
