Fast-Growing Chicken Salad Chick Coming to Missouri & Illinois

If you've ever been to a very popular chicken salad place in the southeast and thought "wow, I wish Illinois or Missouri had a restaurant like this", you're gonna be very happy about what has just been announced.

Are you familiar with Chicken Salad Chick? They have 37 locations which are mainly in the southeastern part of America and are known for sandwiches like this.

Restaurant Dive is reporting that they have received word directly from the brand headquarters that Chicken Salad Chick just signed franchise deals with five new markets and that includes both Missouri and Illinois. They say that "multi-unit developments" are coming to Kansas City, Missouri and Naperville and Lake County, Illinois also have Chicken Salad Chick restaurants coming.

This is big news for Chicken Salad Chick which the story says grew by 13% last year alone and the expansion into the Midwest as another very popular fast casual food option benefits the Missouri and Illinois destinations, too.

Isn't it odd that while many food chains are struggling this year that the fast casual genre seems to be experiencing explosive growth?

The word is that the Kansas City, Missouri location will open as early as this Fall. The Illinois restaurants likely won't be far behind that.
