If you are looking to make a little extra cash this winter you are in luck.  The Indiana Department of Transportation is set to hire over 100 seasonal winter positions.  In preparation for this, INDOT is also going to host statewide open interviews.

The open interviews will take place in different cities on Tuesday, September 15th.  If you can't make the first round of open interviews there will also be a session of open interviews on Thursday, October 15.  Again, these are happening statewide so you have plenty of chances to attend if you are interested.

Just so you have an idea of what exactly is required of seasonal winter workers, here is a description from INDOT's website.

This position is responsible for performing general highway maintenance duties that keep INDOT assets in good working condition to ensure customer satisfaction.  Winter Seasonal workers perform snow and ice removal and related maintenance duties by operation of snow plow and other winter operations duties as required. Traffic maintenance duties such as repairing and installing traffic signs and pavement markings are also required job duties for this position.  A CDL is required for this position.

If you are hired on you will be working from November 9th through March 21st.  You'll make $16 an hour with $250 sign-on bonus and a $500 retention bonus.  If you are interested you can visit INDOTjobs.com to learn more.
