According to a recent article from Consumer Reports, automotive giant, General Motors is recalling nearly 3.5 million vehicles due to an issue with the brakes that may make them difficult to use and could result in a crash. The issue has been under investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for the last 10 months after the organization received 111 complaints from consumers.

The vehicles impacted by the recall include:

  • 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado
  • 2014-2018 GMC Sierra
  • 2015-2017 Chevrolet Tahoe
  • 2015-2018 GMC Yukon
  • 2015-2018 Chevrolet Suburban
  • 2015-2017 Cadillac Escalade

There have been at least 113 crashes and 13 people injured due to the faulty brake system. A fix is available to owners at will be repaired at GM dealerships free of charge. GM has also said that they will provide loaner vehicles during repairs to vehicles still under warranty.
