Gaylord Opryland is always an amazing experience but there is something so magical about visiting during Christmas.  Maybe it's the lights or the decorations or just the feel of the season.

Gaylord has tons of Christmas activities and events that families can buy tickets to see and do.  However, there are numerous things families can do that don't cost a dime.

The Nightly Christmas Tree Lighting and old fashioned caroling is a favorite.  Families can gather on Magnolia Lawn around 4:45 to sing songs and watch as the lights come on.  This goes on each night through January 3.

Possibly one of the most amazing "The Nativity Scene" it includes gorgeous lights and audio that tells the story of Jesus' birth.

Children can write letters to Santa while visiting one of Santa's most favorite stops in Nashville.  Santa even has an office at Gaylord.

Without a doubt, the most gorgeous and mesmerizing displays are the millions of Christmas lights and the 48-foot Christmas Tree, and thousands of poinsettias.

And as a momma of four kids, one of my favorite things to do is capture memories in time.  There are tons of photo backdrops throughout the hotel.  Perhaps one of the most famous Red Ball Tree Ornament when you are walking to do all the outdoor Christmas activities.  Angel here and I have taken a picture in it every single year we visit.

Our family has spent a lot of time at Gaylord and we love that we can just enjoy each other without having to even purchase activities because the hotel is so beautiful and so big we can get lost together just having fun with one another.
