Evansville World AIDS Day Service Tonight at 6pm

Join the Tristate Alliance & the AIDS Holiday Project for an inner-faith service in Evansville to honor of World AIDS Day.

Join the Tristate Alliance and the TSA AIDS Holiday Project this evening at St. Lucas United Church of Christ for an inner-faith service in honor of World AIDS Day, a day devoted to uniting in the fight against HIV & AIDS and to show support for those that are suffering from the virus. Held for the very first time in 1988, World AIDS Day was the first global health day.

Here are some statistics according to WorldAIDSDay.org:

Globally there are an estimated 34 million people who have the virus. Despite the virus only being identified in 1984, more than 35 million people have died of HIV or AIDS, making it one of the most destructive pandemics in history.
