Evansville Theaters Showing Special Sing-A-Long Edition of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ This Weekend
Disney's live-action remake has already a huge success for the Magic Kingdom, having already pulled in over $750 million dollars worldwide according to Forbes Magazine. Looking to strike while the proverbial iron is hot, the studio is releasing a special sing-a-long edition this weekend in movie theaters across the country, including two here in Evansville!
Both Showplace Cinemas East on Morgan Avenue, and AMC 16 on Pearl Drive will offer showings of the release beginning Friday, which according to Newsday, will feature karaoke-style lyrics across the bottom of the screen during the musical numbers so fans of the film and its songs can sing along out loud while enjoying the movie.
The Showplace Cinemas website lists showing times of 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. Friday through next Wednesday, while AMC will have showings at 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday, and 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.
Tickets for all showings at Showplace East are available through the Showplace Cinemas website, while tickets for showings at AMC are available through Fandango. Keep in mind with the new reclining seats available at AMC, all showings are reserved seating only meaning it would be wise to purchase tickets in advance to guarantee your seat. Showplace East has yet to install new reclining seats (the North Park location does offer them), however with the possibility of this film being another must-see, purchasing tickets in advance for this location probably wouldn't hurt either.
