Evansville Law Enforcement Join in on Month-Long Dangerous Driving Campaign
Beginning today (March 3rd, 2017), the Evansville Police Department and Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Department will team up with the Indiana State Police and other law enforcement agencies across the state for the annual "March Campaign On Dangerous and Impaired Driving" to ensure everyone stays safe on Tri-State roads.
The campaign, funded by the Traffic Safety Division of the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute through a federal grant, runs until March 26th and will feature additional patrols from all three agencies locally searching for drivers who appear to be driving aggressively, recklessly, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
If you decide to go out with friends or family to unwind, don't become another statistic, have a plan for how you're getting home if alcohol will be involved. There are several taxi services available in the Evansville area, as well as the two most popular ride sharing services, Uber and Lyft.
