Field Service Technician
Job Description
Performs repairs to Caterpillar and allied equipment at customer locations. Installs new equipment and component parts. Uses test equipment to analyze, evaluate and locate problems. Performs standard work assignments, without supervision, according to needs of the customer and company. Is assigned a company service truck and may be dispatched from home or company shop.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience servicing and repairing construction or earthmoving equipment preferred
• 2-year tech school graduate preferred
• Willingness to learn and be trained
• Excellent interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills
• Able to communicate with team members and customers
• Good working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, word processing programs
• Highly self-directed
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment with rapidly changing priorities and demands
• Currently have a CDL or be able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License
