Daviess County Public Schools Keeping Virtual-Only Instruction Until at Least October 12

In July, when Daviess County Public Schools revealed their reopening plans for the 2020-21 school year, they announced what's called a "stoplight model."

And the plan was to begin in "yellow" status August 26th, according to the DCPS website.

That would mean offering a choice of either in-person or virtual-only instruction.

With Governor Andy Beshear's recommendation that Kentucky schools wait until September 28th to resume in-person classroom attendance, DCPS has changed to the "red" model.

This means they will wait until at least October 12th to resume in-person instruction. That will be the Monday immediately following fall break.

DCPS will maintain its Virtual Academy for elementary and middle school students and NTI/Digital for high schoolers.
