Colts Announce Seating Capacity for November 22nd Home Game
A few hours before taking the field in Detroit to take on (and beat, I may add) the Lions Sunday afternoon, the Indianapolis Colts announced how many fans would be allowed in the stands for the November 22nd game at Lucas Oil Stadium when they host Aaron Rogers and the Green Bay Packers.
The number will remain at 12,500, the same number it was for their October 18th home game against Cincinnati, and what it will be this Sunday when they host the Baltimore Ravens.
Ticket for the Packers game go on sale Monday (November 2nd) at 10:00 a.m. at Ticketmaster. Tickets are still available for this Sunday's game against the Ravens through Ticketmaster as well, most of which are in the upper part of the stadium.
In terms of fan capacity in this current age of COVID we're living in, the 12,500 fans the team has been allowed to host is one of the higher amounts in the entire league. Many teams including Buffalo, New England, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and both New York Teams aren't allowing fans to attend games "for the foreseeable future" due to COVID regulations in those states, while others are limiting the number to just friends and family of players, coaches, and other team personnel.
Normally, my wife and I try to make it to at least one home game each season if we can. I don't see that being the case this year. Not that I'm concerned about catching COVID-19, but why put myself in a situation like going to a game that may increase my chances of getting it when I can just as easily stay home and watch the game in my pajamas? Right now, it's not worth the trip in my opinion.
Yesterday's win over the Lions puts the Colts at 5-2 and tied for first place in their division with Tennessee thanks to the Titans loss against Cincinnati Sunday afternoon. However, they have to get through the toughest part of their schedule the rest of the way if they hope to land a playoff berth. Outside of the upcoming games against the Ravens and the Packers, both of which are also currently 5-2, the Colts still have home and away games to play against division rivals, the Titans and the Texans, plus a date with the currently unbeaten Pittsburgh Steelers on their schedule.
