Citizen’s Town Hall Happening Friday at Central Library
There will be a Town Hall this Friday!
This Friday, at Central Library, there will be a Citizen's Town Hall to provide feedback for Representative Larry Bucshon. There has been a ton of controversy surrounding a number of different decisions made in Washington (*cough*AHCA*cough*, actually that cough might be a pre-existing condition..) and it is time to let your voice be heard! Here is the official synposis of the event:
This is a public event for the constituents of Indiana's 8'th District to make public comment and provide feedback to Representative Larry Buschon. As Rep. Buschon is rarely available for general public sessions, we are providing a forum for those who wish to communicate with their congressional representative.
We encourage prepared statements not exceeding two (2) minutes, including bringing a written copy to be forwarded to Rep. Buschon's office.
The proceedings will be live-streamed and video recorded. We strongly encourage all constituents to join us in making our thoughts and input heard in a respectful, open, inclusive setting.
A formal invitation has been extended to congressman Bucshon; as of May 9th, 2017, we've been informed he is not attending. Special guest speaker, and 2018 congressional candidate, Glen Scott Miller, is scheduled to appear and offer response and comment.
The event is free and open to the public. It is to last from 3:45-5:45pm in Browning Rooms A and B inside Central Library in downtown Evansville. You can visit the official event page here.
