There's just something special about seeing eagles in the wild. I don't know if it's because they are the United States of America's National Bird, or if it's just because they are such a symbol of freedom in our culture, but there's just something special about seeing them in the wild.  Recently I saw photos of freshly hatched eaglets in Indiana, and WOW I had to share!

Indiana Nature Lovers

I'm in a group on Facebook that shares all kinds of fascinating photos of nature in Indiana, it's called Indiana Nature Lovers.  Recently in the group, I saw photos of freshly hatched eaglets that caught my eye.  The photos were posted by Stephanie Van Meter Holdman, and so I had to reach out to her to hear all about these eagles.  Her photos were STUNNING.

A Family of Eagles

I reached out to Stephanie to see if I could share the stunning eagle photos, and Stephanie told me that she has been somewhat following this particular family of eagles for 4 years now.

I have been checking this family for 4 years now, on the way to Wabash College hall of the time. The older chicks are from 2020. Last year, I witnessed a Great Blue Heron fly into the nest after she has eggs.😭 No babies in 21. This year, at least 1!!😃 I am sending several of the 2020.

Check out these photos of the eagles from 2020!

LOOK: Here are the pets banned in each state

Because the regulation of exotic animals is left to states, some organizations, including The Humane Society of the United States, advocate for federal, standardized legislation that would ban owning large cats, bears, primates, and large poisonous snakes as pets.

Read on to see which pets are banned in your home state, as well as across the nation.
