Three young ladies from Owensboro just enjoyed a really fun Spring Break pit stop on their way to vacation in Myrtle Beach.  They stopped off in Cleveland, Georgia, which happens to be the hometown of Xavier Roberts.  Is that name familiar?  Well, it should be!  He's the guy who created the Cabbage Patch Kids and he's also the guy that has signed the backside of millions of them.

Did you know that Cleveland is also home to the Cabbage Patch Kids BabyLand General Hospital?  You can actually visit, watch your Cabbage Patch Kid be "born" and then adopt it!

Last week, Brookelynn and Kaitlyn Davis and their cousin Raelyn Duncan visited the hospital, took some great photos, made awesome memories and walked away with brand new Cabbage Patch Kids.  Well, except for Kaitlyn, who adopted a stuffed pig.  LOL!

Check out their pics!

The Cabbage Patch Kids Babyland General Hospital

Cleveland, Georgia is the hometown of Xavier Roberts, the famed creator of Cabbage Patch Kids. Cleveland is also home to BabyLand General Hospital, where you can actually watch Cabbage Patch Kids being born.

By the way, BabyLand General Hospital, according to their official website, was voted one of The Travel Channel's Top Ten Toylands.

According to Raelyn's mom, Karen, the hospital works like this.  You basically pick out a doll like Brookelynn and Raelyn did.  Then, you go into a room with a nurse.  There, you name the doll and they print you an official Cabbage Patch Kids birth certificate.  If you are feeling really adventurous and you don't mind dropping some serious cash, you can get a doll from Mother Cabbage.  If Mother Cabbage births your doll while you're there, you can adopt a hand-sewn classic for $250.

Overall, Karen says it's basically a  "Shop til you drop" experience and BabyLand has tons of new and vintage Cabbage Patch Kids on display.

This morning on WBKR, Raelyn and Karen joined Angel and me to talk about the Spring Break trip and the new addition to the Duncan family.

BabyLand General Hospital is ooen Mondays through Saturdays 8am to 5pm CST and Sunday from 9am to 5pm CST.  The hospital is closed on major holidays, but is open on New Year's Eve, July 4th and the day after Thanksgiving.

BabyLand General Hospital is located at 300 N.O.K. Drive in Cleveland, Georgia.  The phone number: 706-865-2171.
