‘Big Hero 6′ Trailer Brings the Marvel Factor to Disney Animation
Get ready, folks, because Disney is revving up to release its first animated movie based on a Marvel comic book with 'Big Hero 6,' and its new trailer packs one lovable marshmallow-sized punch.
'Big Hero 6' follows young prodigy Hiro, who forms a bond with a marshmallow fluff-looking robot named Baymax after the loss of his brother. Though the robot was designed as a medical aide, Hiro makes some upgrades to transform him into a fighting machine after the kid's latest invention, micro-bots, falls into villainous clutches. "This may undermine my non-threatening, huggable design," jokes Baymax. To get it back and save the city of San Fransokyo from chaos, the pair team up with a bunch of other unlikely heroes.
We got a behind-the-scenes look into the making of this animated feature, and it looks down-right incredible. However, can Disney's clout alone break the box office? Though there are a lot of Marvel fans out there and this movie is based on a Marvel comic book, that seems to have been an afterthought in the marketing process.
Still, this latest 'Big Hero 6' trailer touts more of the action, humor and expert animation style to come, along with a cast that includes Disney star Ryan Potter, Scott Adsit of '30 Rock,' funnyman T.J. Miller, Jamie Chung, Genesis Rodriguez and Maya Rudolph.
'Big Hero 6' will hit theaters on November 7.
