Even with the new movie on its way to production, Hellboy fans still can’t get Guillermo del Toro’s pair of films out of their heads. It’s disappointing that the director won’t get to finish his trilogy, but at least one of its stars has fully moved on.

We love zombie movies, we love comedies, we love movie musicals, but what if the three genres were combined?? It’s Shaun of the Dead meets High School Musical in the new Anna and the Apocalypse, which looks like a must-see simply for the sake of finding out whether it all actually works.

George Clooney’s Suburbicon looks like a high-tension fever dream of suburban America, where a seeming idyll devolves quickly into a hellscape of murder, lies, and broken glasses. It just premiered at TIFF to somewhat mixed reviews, and a new trailer has arrived on the heels of its screening.

Supreme Leader Snoke is one of the biggest mysteries of the new Star Wars trilogy, even though he’s apparently not as big as he appeared to be in The Force Awakens. Where did he come from? What species is he? How can he still speak with his face all messed up like that? How did he get that giant crack in his forehead? We won’t be getting ay insight into Snoke’s origins in The Last Jedi, simply because director Rian Johnson figured it wasn’t necessary — but we will be seeing a lot more of him. And maybe not a hologram this time.

Etta Candy, played by Lucy Davis, was one of the highlights of this summer’s Wonder Woman, stealing each scene she was in with her charm, expert comedic timing, and wardrobe of amazing outfits. All of her scenes were set in London, so unfortunately she didn’t get as much screen time as she should have, but that’s about to change with the imminent Wonder Woman home video release.

Almost two decades after making the first Jay and Silent Bob solo flick, Kevin Smith is returning to the View Askewniverse with Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, which he announced was happening about six months ago. Now, it looks like his Supergirl schedule is giving him the break he needs to start shooting his new movie, which officially begins production this fall.
