Ariana Grande Shows Off Her Grammy Award Five Months After Winning Best Pop Album
Ariana Grande finally got her Grammy award... five months after her big win.
The "In My Head" singer, who won Best Pop Vocal Album for Sweetener, showed off her Grammy via Instagram on Tuesday (July 16). As fans will recall, Grande skipped the awards show back in February over a disagreement with one of the producers who allegedly didn't want her to perform her hit song "7 Rings."
Though she thanked her fans and the Recording Academy for the recognition on Twitter following her win, she wasn't there to accept or pose for photos with her Grammy... until now.
"Really glad I checked the mail," the pop star captioned the shot.
The 26-year-old also posted a video in which she joking presents the award to her pet pig, Piggy Smallz. "Piggy, something came for you," Grande's overheard saying in the black-and-white clip.
Meanwhile, Grande's manager, Scooter Braun, praised her on social media.
"This right here is family. I couldn’t have been prouder this week to deliver this one her very first Grammy," he wrote. "There is no one more deserving and this is truly the first chapter of her epic story. She is an icon living and is exactly who she claims to be. Yes she is now and forever more Grammy award winner @arianagrande but to me she is simply Ari... one of the strongest people I know with a heart of gold. Proud of you Ari!! Love yah."
In the comments section, Grande replied: "So grateful. Thank you Scoot. Even though you ruined my joke about it coming in the mail."
