Celebrities like Rihanna and Chris Evans have spoken about against Alabama's new anti-abortion law.

The bill, which was passed by the state’s Senate on Tuesday (May 14), bans nearly all abortions, including victims of rape and incest, and places a minimum 10-year prison sentence on any doctor who performs one at any stage of a woman's pregnancy. The only exception is for cases in which a mother's life is at serious risk.

After the news broke, a number of A-list celebrities, including Lady GagaDua Lipa, Lizz, John Legend, Reese Witherspoon, Kacey Musgraves and more, also took to Twitter to slam the abortion ban.

"Take a look. these are the idiots making decisions for WOMEN in America," Rihanna wrote on alongside a photo of the 25 men who signed the bill. "Governor Kay Ivey... SHAME ON YOU!!!!"

"This is absolutely unbelievable. If you’re not worried about roe v wade, you’re not paying attention. This is why voting matters!!" the Avengers star tweeted.

On Wednesday (May 15), Lady Gaga called the abortion ban a "travesty" and said she's praying for all the women and young girls in the state who will suffer because of it.

"It is an outrage to ban abortion in Alabama period, and all the more heinous that it excludes those have been raped or are experiencing incest non-consensual or not," the singer wrote on Twitter. "So there's a higher penalty for doctors who perform these operations than for most rapists? This is a travesty and I pray for all these women and young girls who will suffer at the hands of this system."

Meanwhile, actresses Busy Phillips, Minka Kelly and Amber Tamblyn opened up about their experience with abortions with emotional statements of their own.

"In 2012, I had an abortion. It was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make," the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants star wrote. "I still think about it to this day. But these truths do not make me regret my decision. It was the right choice for me, at that time in my life. I have not a single doubt about this."

"When I was younger I had an abortion. It was the smartest decision I could’ve made, not only for myself & my boyfriend at the time, but also for this unborn fetus," the Friday Night Lights actress wrote on Instagram.
