This Sunday at 8pm, 106-1 KISS-FM will air "The Dream Show featuring LEAGUES" live from Seattle. Before you tune in, get to know this up-and-coming band out of Nashville, Tennessee, and get a taste of what you can expect during the show.

Comprised of lead singer Thad Cockrell, guitarist Tyler Burkum and drummer Jeremy Lutito, the trio originally started as a four piece until founding member Mike Simmons decided to shift his focus to his family.

Before coming together, Cockrell, Burkum, and Lutito had already established themselves in the Nashville music scene with Cockrell having critical success as solo singer-songwriter, Burkum as a critically acclaimed guitar player, and Lutito a self-described, "hired gun" drummer. How they finally found each other reads like a "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" puzzle with Burkum and Lutito having played together in a backing band for artist Mat Kearney, while Simmons had mentioned Burkum to Cockrell as a possible addition when the two were first discussing the idea of putting a band together. Then there's the fact that Cockrell had watched Lutito play in another Nashville band way back in 2005 and made a mental note that if the day ever came where he had a band, he wanted the drummer to be a part of it.

Fast forward a few years later when Cockrell and Lutito crossed paths at a Nashville restaurant and exchanged phone numbers. As the two spoke about putting something together, Cockrell mentioned a guy he assumed Lutito didn't know to round out the group. That guy was Lutito's friend Tyler Burkum.

Like most upstart bands, the group struggled with balancing day-to-day life (family, work, etc.) with trying to make their dream come true. After getting together every few weeks to jam and see what, if anything, would come of their collaboration, they played their first official gig in as the opening act for a group called Zach Williams & the Reformation in September of 2010 at New York City's famed Bowery Ballroom. Their tenth show as a band found them opening for The Fray at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.

Together they create a brand of pop-rock that fuses together influences that range from Tears for Fears to Michael Jackson. A unique sound you can experience this Sunday during The Dream Show from Seattle airing at 8PM, Evansville time.
