Typically, I find that the worst earworm songs are those poppy crazy-popular-for-a-second songs. Examples throughout time would be, like, "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred or Girardo's "Rico Suave." More modern examples of this include songs like "Umbrella" by Rihanna, Baauer's "Harlem Shake," Chainsmokers' "#SELFIE," or "Shake it Off" by Taylor Swift.

It's funny that this came up because I had just experienced an earworm over the weekend while bowling with Shawn & the kids - Deee-lite "Groove is in the Heart." I actually danced on the bowling lane and in my chair and then spent 3 days randomly humming, mumble-singing this silly song!
