Is it an insect? Is it a bird? Is it a child's horrified scream? I'm not quite sure.

I first heard whatever it is  when I let the dogs one last time before going to bed late Tuesday night. It was coming from behind the house, so I whipped out my phone and opened up the voice recorder app to see if I could capture it (the sound, not whatever is making it).

As I crossed the alley that runs behind my house it got louder and sounded like it was coming from the neighbors back yard. So like a creep, I stepped up to their privacy fence, hit record on the app and held my phone up hoping the neighbor wouldn't look out their back window and see some weirdo holding their phone in the air.

I recorded about 40 seconds of audio, then cut out the dead space, and amplified it a bit on our audio editing program here at the station so you could hear it better. Other than that, I didn't alter the sound itself in any way, shape, or form. Take a listen.

My buddy, Bobby G. from our sister-station, 103GBF thinks it could be frog, which could be a possibility, but what do you think it might be? Listen a few times and take a guess in the comments below.
