Earlier this week I played, 'Lovefool' from The Cardigans during a Back in the Day Triple Play, and I wondered what ever happened to them? I took to the web to find out.

Formed in 1992 in Jönköping, (pronounced, Your-shurp-ing) Sweden, 1997's 'Lovefool' from their album, Life, was the bands one and only hit in the United States. In 1998, they took a hiatus after their follow up album, Gran Turismo didn't spawn any hits. They returned in 2003 with the album Long Gone Before Daylight and followed that with Super Extra Gravity in 2005.

While that was the last album the band release, they still reconvene for a short tour here and there, the most recent being a series of summer festival appearances overseas in 2012.

Lead singer, Nina Persson continues to write music for both The Cardigans and her other band A Camp she formed back in 2001 with husband Nathan Larson.
