Were Video Games Better in 1998 [POLL]
It’s time to go BACK TO THE 90′S!!!
It’s time once again to take a trip back into the 90s and compare it to certain aspects of today! Now, we’ll take a look at one of my favorite aspects of popular culture is and has always been VIDEO GAMES. I’ve got the time machine set for 1998! Let’s take a look at which is better, video games from today VS. video games from 15 years ago! Compare the two sales charts below and vote!
- Tomb Raider
- MLB ’13: The Show
- Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm
- Major League Baseball 2K13
- Call of Duty: Black Ops II
- Crysis 3
- Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate
- Halo 4
- NBA 2K13
- Pokemon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
- Tekken 3
- Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped
- Metal Gear Solid
- Resident Evil 2
- Spyro the Dragon
- Pokemon Trading Card Game
While you would think that something rooted in technology like video games would get much better as times progresses, I have to say that the list from 1998 contains a whole plethora of video games that have SHAPED MY LIFE! Now I’ll admit, 1998 has an advantage because it’s factoring in the whole year of sales (there are no accessible weekly sales charts from 15 years ago), but there are some EPIC titles on the old list. Games like Ocarina of Time, Resident Evil 2, Banjo-Kazooie, and Pokemon pull the pants down of the boring sports titles disgracing the modern sales chart… But what do you think?
