Weird Al Yankovic has been in my newsfeed and a trending topic for the last week and a half, and I've been really happy to see his resurgence in relevance.  I've always appreciated Al's genius.  Not all of the eight videos Al released over the previous eight days have been brilliant, but this one is pretty cool.  His latest isn't one of his trademark parodies, rather an original work in a style he says is inspired by Crosby, Stills & Nash.  The video was made by a group called TruScribe and took over TEN months to complete!

 

I've also been hearing this may be Al's last music video of all time.  While he has not committed to it, Yankovic has been telling people Mandatory Fun could be his last album.

 

If I had to give a gold medal to all of the videos Al released over the past eight days, my favorite would have to be "Word Crimes", the parody of Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines".  Enjoy the final video, "Mission Statement" below:
