See me get winded and reminded how out of shape I am for a good cause!

For the second straight year I teamed up with my friend and co-worker, Eric Cornish from our sister-station, 99.5 WKDQ, to participate in the annual Supermarket Scramble for the Tri-State Food Bank at Buehler's IGA on 1st Avenue in Evansville. The goal is simple, run like crazy through the store and collect as much food as possible that Bueher's will donate to the Tri-State Food Bank.

The other (slightly lesser) goal is to make sure the total dollar amount of your donation is more than the other media outlets (TV, Newspaper, etc.) participating so you can win the first place trophy. Again, not the "main goal", but a goal nonetheless.

Looking to improve on our 3rd place finish last year, Eric and I formulated our strategy, and were ready to scramble when the horn went off. Check out how it went in the video below.

How did we do? Well, we didn't get third, I can tell you that. I can also tell you that we didn't get first or second either. At the end of the day, we finished in fourth place, coming up $21.00 shy of reclaiming our second-straight third place trophy. The real winner of course was the Tri-State Food Bank who wound up with over $10,000 worth of food for families in need this Holiday Season.
