October is Pit Bull Awareness Month, and when I came across this video of a Pit Bull who appeared to have been used as a "bait dog" for fighting, I knew that I had to share it with you! Pit Bulls are such a misunderstood breed of animal, and often the bad reputation that they have comes, not from the dogs themselves, but from irresponsible humans.

Take a look at Cadence's story. While this particular case took place in California, dog fighting does happen here in the Tri-state. There are "bait dogs" in shelters and rescues here in Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky as we speak. These animals need our help.
