Was there a MASSIVE Drug Raid in Evansville?

If you spent part of your Easter weekend on Facebook, you may have heard about a "MASSIVE DRUG RAID" that involved half of a million dollars in drugs and a rocket launcher. If you were scratching your head as to how this could have happened in our city, the answer is simple: It didn't.

This story was once again the work of the Tri-State Beet Facebook page. All of their news is "satirical." I use the term satirical very loosely as most of their stories aren't very good and usually venture into the area of "lies" as opposed to well-written satire.

There was no big raid this weekend. Had that happened, you would have been able to hear about it from any of the legitimate news and programs in the area. From now on, if a source says "Tri State Beet," just remember that it isn't true. Below is the original post.
