One of the best values for your dollar every summer is a trip to Bosse Field for an Evansville Otters home game. Cheap tickets and cheap food coupled with the atmosphere of the ballpark makes it a night the whole family can enjoy.

As I've said before, on my list of favorite sports, baseball doesn't rank at the top. However, I really love going to a ballpark to watch a game. There's something about being in stands, enjoying a beer, eating some peanuts, and spending time with your family or friends that makes it special.

Your opportunity to make a return to Bosse Field or visit for the first time is coming up soon as our own Evansville Otters get ready to chase the Frontier League championship beginning Friday, May 18th. Mike Radomski, the voice of the Otters stopped by the station yesterday afternoon to talk about the upcoming season, franchise and league records the Otters on the verge of breaking this season, and how a 3-4 hour trip to the ballpark can create memories that last a lifetime. Take a listen.

To help get you pumped up for the 2012 season, the Otters and 106-1 KISS-FM, along with our Townsquare Media sister-stations (103GBF, 99.5 WKDQ, and 105.3 WJLT) will host a pep rally at Bosse Field on Wednesday, May 16th from 4-6pm complete with $1.00 hot dogs, popcorn, and peanuts, as well as prize giveaways and the opportunity to meet and have your picture taken with Otters players. I'll be taking the last two hours of my show on the road, so come out, say "hi", and get ready for another exciting season of Otter-ball!
