After a two-year break from his solo music career, Usher has returned to his R&B roots with ‘Good Kisser,’ the first single off of his yet-untitled upcoming eighth studio album.

The new song is a throwback to classic ‘90s R&B, with a perfect blend of upbeat funk. The beat itself is simple and allows the vocals to be the highlight of the single — great choice, because Usher never fails to impress with his smooth falsetto.

The tune’s lyrics are seductive, bordering on downright filthy. ‘The Voice’ judge croons, “I done been around the world, I done kissed a lot of girls / So I’m guessin’ that it’s true / Make me holla and I bet a million dollars / Don’t nobody kiss it like you.”

And that’s about as clean as it gets.

Not that we’re complaining! Usher, who in the video shows off both his brilliant choreo skills and frankly impressive abs, may have found the secret to eternal youth. Sitting shirtless behind a drum set, tapping out the song’s continuous rhythm, there’s not much separating the singer from his 2004 ‘Confessions’ days.

The video concept is simple, focusing mostly on Usher’s slick dancing and close-ups of lips painted in bright jewel tones. The simplicity of the video complements the simplicity of the song.

And that clap-led breakdown on the bridge? It’ll be stuck in your head all day.

Congrats, Usher, ‘Good Kisser’ is one polished comeback.
