Tri-State Winter Weather Update

City garage crews have been working since Thursday evening pre-treating then plowing snow from city streets. Transportation & Services Dir. Todd Robertson said crews have been focusing on primary roads first. Once primary routes are clear, crews will focus on other streets as hazardous conditions are identified. (Trouble spots on the Lloyd Expressway should be reported to the INDOT Evansville office at 867-6624.) City snow plows are running snow routes on a 4-hour loop, but with snow falling at a rate of 1-inch an hour at times today it was hard for crews to keep up. Posey, Webster counties and Henderson county are currently under a state of emergency.
