UPDATE: During inclement weather (rain, snow, etc.), the rack will be located just inside the doors of our main entrance facing Walnut Street. The same rules apply, if you need one, come in and take one. If you'd like to leave one (or more), come on in and leave one. No questions asked.

The winter months in Evansville can bring with them bitterly cold temperatures, and unfortunately for many here in the Tri-State, specifically downtown Evansville, the money isn't there to afford coats and blankets that will shield them from the elements. That's why we here at Townsquare Media are asking for your help in making sure those individuals have what they need to stay warm.

Beginning this week, and continuing throughout the winter months, we will leave a rack of coats outside our front door at the corner of 5th and Walnut in downtown Evansville. Anyone who needs them (low income individuals, or those who are homeless), can simply stop by and grab one. If you've recently purchased a new coat to replace an old one, or you have an extra in the closet taking up space, we invite you to leave it on the rack for someone who could use it.

The rack will be outside during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5 p.m.), weather permitting. If you need one, take it, no questions asked. If you have one you'd like to donate, simply toss it on the rack and be on your way. No need to stop in and hand it to our receptionist, or another employee.

We hope that with your help, we can make sure everyone who has fallen on hard times can stay warm this winter and beyond.
