Investigators for the Evansville Police Department have named 20-year-old Timothy Stiff of Evansville as the prime suspect in a robbery at the Check Into Cash location on East Diamond Avenue Thursday night.

According to the police report, Stiff walked into the establishment located in the Town Center shopping complex around 6pm, displayed a 9 millimeter handgun to the two employees working at the time, and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A K-9 unit arrived at the scene, but was unable to track Stiff. Police tell local news outlets they believe it's possible that Stiff could have jumped into a waiting car after leaving with the money.

If you have any information on Stiff's whereabouts, call the EPD Tip Line at (812) 435-6194, or e-mail them at info@evansvillepolice.com. You can also leave an anonymous tip through the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor's We Tip Line at 1-800-78-CRIME (27463)
